R-Forge
R-Forge is five live-web research tools in one, at /r-forge — Research · Radar · Recon · Verify · Web-Ingest — powered by Tavily / Firecrawl plus any model.

Purpose
Section titled “Purpose”Every run is a project, a background job saved to the vault (<vault>/R-Forge/<Tool>/<project>/), so results survive navigating away. Reopen the project and its history is there. Each run shows its credit cost, runs continue in the background, and results land in Obsidian as readable notes.
- Research — a question becomes a sourced, model-written brief.
- Radar — monitor a topic or competitor over time.
- Recon — deep-dive a single site or entity.
- Verify — fact-check a claim against live sources.
- Web-Ingest — pull a page or site into clean Markdown for your vault.
Setup and dependencies
Section titled “Setup and dependencies”TAVILY_API_KEYorFIRECRAWL_API_KEY— required (either provider). Add it in the in-app Secrets & keys panel, or in.env.local.- Any model — R-Forge writes with whatever model you have configured.
Where output goes
Section titled “Where output goes”Each run is saved to the vault at <vault>/R-Forge/<Tool>/<project>/ and lands in Obsidian as a readable note.
- Runs continue in the background — start a Radar sweep or a deep Recon and switch apps; the project is waiting when you return.
- Each run shows its credit cost up front, so you can gauge spend against your Tavily / Firecrawl plan.
