Settings & themes
The controls in the top bar and the bottom-left gear govern the whole app.
Global model switcher
Section titled “Global model switcher”The box at the bottom of the sidebar. It sets the model that default-engine apps (Loop, Pipeline) use. Every provider this install can reach can be the global model — chat models, the agents (Qwen Code, OpenCode, OpenClaw, Hermes) and the PROVIDERS aggregators. The choice is saved server-side and persists; a saved pick is honoured as-is, not silently substituted when a probe is slow or wrong. Agentic/streaming apps (Claude, SEO, Video) keep their own engine.
The Settings panel
Section titled “The Settings panel”The gear (sidebar footer) opens a panel with a left rail and a search box:
- Updates — check now, the two daily check hours, auto-update. See Updating.
- Model routing — skip providers that just failed (3 refusals → 2-minute pause, with a countdown and Try them again now) and fall back to another model (replacement stays within the same kind: agentic CLIs Claude → Codex → Grok → Antigravity; chat models OmniRoute → Kimi → Local → Qwen → DeepSeek). Both off by default; turn failover off when comparing models.
- Secrets — see Secrets & keys.
- Security — see Settings → Security.
- Appearance — theme, sound, language (EN / UK / RU).
- Models / Agents / Forge / Self — card toggles that show or hide any sidebar
entry, lit when shown, with per-section Hide all / Show all. Saved per browser
(
localStorage); nothing is uninstalled or stopped. Hiding Agents → OpenCode removes it from the sidebar, the Dashboard fleet and the radar but does not stopopencode serve.
Themes
Section titled “Themes”Two, switchable at any time; every window follows the choice, including S-Forge and Hermes Swarm:
- Black — cyan on near-black.
- Navy — brass on deep navy (the look of these docs).
Remote access
Section titled “Remote access”Local use needs no login. Reaching Erebros from another device is PIN-gated and configured on the Security card — see Security & remote access.
